RULES OF 'HEART TO HERTS' CLUB.

1. Name
The name of the Club is "Heart to Herts" ("The Club").

2. Objects
The objects of The Club are to hold social functions for single people.

3. Proprietor
Heart to Herts is a registered Limited Company. The Managing Director of which is Lesley Staincliffe. The Registered Office for Heart to Herts Limited is:18 Kingsfield Road, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, SG18 8AT. ("Managing Director").

4. Management.
The general management of the affairs of The Club in all matters is under the entire control of, as conducted by, the Managing Director or the appointed representative or successor in title of the Managing Director.

5. Membership and Admission
5.1 Membership of The Club is at the sole discretion of the Managing Director and is by invitation only.
5.2 Admission is subject to the acceptance of The Club rules and such terms and conditions as to payment or otherwise as the Managing Director determines from time to time.

6. Fees
The fees for admission to The Club is such a sum that the Managing Director determines from time to time and is non-refundable.

7. Attendance at functions
7.1 No member shall be entitled to attend a Club function unless the appropriate payment has been made in full in advance to the Managing Director in accordance with the booking conditions notified to the member.
7.2 The number of members attending Club functions may be limited and acceptance of a member's booking is at the sole discretion of the Proprietor.
7.3 Cancellations: Refunds will not be given if cancelled within 3 days before the day of the event. If cancelled on the 4th day before the event a 50% refund will be given. All other cancellations will be fully refunded.

8. Cessation of Membership
A member ceases to be a member of The Club:
8.1 By notification to the Manging Director; or
8.2 Due to expulsion as provided in Rule 9.
8.3 On any such date as may be notified to the member by the Managing Director for the time being as the date that the club shall cease to exist.

9. Conduct
The Managing Director may suspend or expel any member:
9.1 Who acts in breach of the rules or regulations of The Club; or
9.2 Whose conduct is prejudicial to the interests of The Club or its members or in the opinion of the Managing Director who renders them unfit for membership.

10. Smoking Policy
The Proprietor operates a non-smoking policy at Dinner Parties where members are asked to refrain from smoking at the dinner table. Smoking areas will, however, be made available as far as possible at all functions, unless the rules of the venue alter this..

11. Liability
11.1 The Club cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, theft of property, personal damage or injury affecting a member or visitor to a Club function.
11.2 The Club cannot be held responsible for the amount of alcohol consumed by a member or visitor to a Club function and whether or not that person is over the legal alcohol limit to drive.
11.3 Although each member completes an application form prior to admission as a member The Club does not undertake any further investigation and shall not be liable in respect of any matter, which would have been revealed by further investigation.
11.4 Except in so far as such liability cannot be excluded by law the Managing Director shall have no liability for the action or missions or behaviour of the members of The Club.

12. Rules
The Managing Director may from time to time revoke, vary, add or alter the rules of The Club and is the sole authority for interpreting the rules and for settling all disputes relating to the affairs of The Club and the conduct of the members.

13. Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by English Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
